So the concept here is a ghost rising straight out of a pumpkin, 6 sizes from 2.44 to 7.33 inches on black or orange cotton. The jack-o-lantern sits at the base with carved triangle eyes and the classic toothy mouth cut in, while the floating wispy shape above has two simple oval eyes and that trailing tail. Its all outlines and minimal satin fill, no heavy dense stitching, just clean lines and that slightly lopsided hand-drawn quality that makes it feel illustrated rather than clipart.

Ping me if you run into any stitching trouble, but honestly this one runs pretty smooth. Its a single colour, so 1 thread the whole way through, no swaps. 7,006 stitches at the smallest size and 32,204 at the full 7.33 inch version. The density is 585 which keeps things soft enough for knit fabrics, I stitched this onto orange cotton jersey last october and the wispy top section lay down flat without puckering. Layer a medium tearaway stabiliser for jersey or use a light cutaway on woven cotton.

A customer asked me last halloween season if this would work on a kids pillowcase, it absolutely does at the 5-in design on white muslin. Digitised in professional digitising tools so the underlay is properly mapped, the outline stitches wont drag or skip even on the smaller 2.44 inch version. Back it with topping on fleece or terry cloth so everything sits on top of the pile.

Pick orange thread for a fun halloween combo, or go classic black on a white or cream ground. Works great on tote bags, pillowcases, and kids costumes.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
