Six colours, 14,458 stitches, density 204. This is my teacher ghost design and its consistently a teacher gift favourite around halloween time. The ghost wears tiny round glasses and holds an apple, both stitched at a scale where they stay readable without losing detail. Six colour palette: white ghost body, black outline and glasses, red apple, gold accent, grey shading, and a muted teal for the chalkboard prop. At 3.14 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall its portrait-proportioned so it centres nicely on a chest pocket or a tote bag panel.

I get messages from teachers and school gift buyers every october, this one and the nurse ghost are my two most-ordered halloween designs for staff gifts. One customer wrote me last november after her school Halloween party, said she stitched 30 of these onto tote bags for the teaching team and every single one recieved compliments. Density 204 is comfortable for most machines. The ghost body is the largest area fill and it uses a flat horizontal underlay first, then the white fill on top, that two-pass approach is why the white sits opaque even on dark fabric without show-through. The glasses frames are tiny satin columns in black, run at the very end of the stitch sequence after all body fills are done. Do not run at full speed for those glasses frames or the satin column alignment shifts. Run at 70-75% machine speed for the last colour stop. Stitch those glasses at slow speed and they come out perfectly readable even at 3.14 inches wide.

Teachers, school staff, anyone doing halloween classroom decor, this gets used on tote bags, sweatshirts, aprons, and halloween party shirts. Stitch it on a black or deep navy fabric for the best ghost pop. Pair midweight cutaway with stretch or fleece, tearaway on woven cotton. If youre stitching onto a cotton twill tote, medium density tearaway is fine and the file pulls off cleanly without tearing the fabric grain. Dont skip the underlay pass, its what keeps the ghost white opaque over dark fabric. Pick a 75/11 needle for the fine glasses satin columns.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
