Its a pile of books, spine-side out, stacked the way you see them on a nightstand or a library cart. Six thread colours in total, each book in the stack getting its own colour so theyre clearly individual volumes rather than one big blob. The sizes come in four options, smallest at 3.98 by 4.01 inches and largest at 6.95 by 7.01 inches, which gives you room to put it on anything from a small tote pocket to a full front of a tote bag. Stitch count goes from 20,459 at the small end up to 41,658 on the big one.
I ran this with medium cutaway stabiliser and the book spines came out crisp. The spine lines are done in satin stitch with the underlay set to catch the fabric properly, so they dont get lost against the fill areas. Density at 855 means this needs a stable woven base, dont try it on a stretchy knit without cutaway backing because the book shapes will distort. Directional stitching on the cover fill gives a slight dimensional look to each book.
A customer ordered this last autumn for a set of teacher gift bags she was making for end of year. She did the 5-in size natural canvas and it looked brilliant. Send me a message and Ill sort out any file trouble.
Use it on tote bags, book bags, pencil cases, cushions for a reading nook, or a linen book sleeve. Stitch it on denim and pair with a plant or cat design nearby for a full bookish shelf look. Pick the 4-inch version for smaller items like pouches. Best on cotton canvas or woven linen. Send me a chat if the file misbehaves and Ill rework the punch.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
