Pulled together three angled books with a magnolia draped across the top, after getting a bunch of requests from book club organisers who wanted something for their tote bags that felt literary but not stuffy. Three books stacked at an angle, and the magnolia just drapes over the top like someone set it down as a bookmark. The angle on the pile is what gives it life, its kinda just leaning there, not posed. I really like how the petal veins look at the larger sizes.

Single black thread, no colour changes, no stops mid-run. Density digitised at 437 in my digitising suite which keeps those interior page-edge lines and the stamen crosshatch centre visible without closing up or blurring into a blob. Five sizes: 3.51 inches wide by 2.57 tall at the smallest (8,758 stitches) up to 7.51 by 5.49 at the largest (18,033 stitches). Midweight cutaway underneath, the book spines have solid satin fill sections that want backing, dont use tearaway or the spines will pucker after a wash or two. Hoop snug on woven fabric.

One customer ordered the 5-inch version last autumn for a whole run of book club welcome tote bags, about 20 of them on natural canvas, and the digitising held up clean across every single one without drifting. Thats the kind of feedback I actually save. Add a name or a reading year underneath if youre customising, the open space below the books leaves room for a text line without crowding the design. Pair with a 40-weight black on the book fill sections, works fine through the flower sections too, ya dont need to switch weights.

Best on natural canvas, linen, cream cotton twill, or a soft chambray. Avoid anything with heavy texture or a loop pile, the fine page-line details wont read clearly. Best fabric for the full 7.51-inch hoop is a sturdy cotton canvas, hoop it tight and run a light spray starch before hooping for clean registration. Stitch the books first, the professional digitising tools sequence drops them in before the flower, so honour that order and dont skip ahead.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
