Three grinning jack-o-lanterns stacked up one on top of the other, biggest one on the ground, mid size in the middle, and a lil one sitting on top with a cute white spider perched above it all. Each pumpkin has its own carved expression, none of em identical, so it reads like a proper halloween tower rather than three copies of the same face. The spider on top has thin radiating legs stitched out in white against whatever dark fabric youre hooping. This design is cheerful-spooky, not scary-spooky.

2 colours: orange for the pumpkin bodies and black for the carved faces plus the overall outline. The spider is white which makes technically 2 colour changes depending on your machine setup. Density is 893, which is one of the higher density values in my catalogue, so the orange sections are really solid and opaque on dark fabric. Comes in 5 sizes from 2.51 inches wide up to 6.51 inches wide. Heights run 2.41 inches to 6.27 inches. The big one at 36,440 stitches is a substantial run, maybe 40-50 minutes on a mid-speed machine.

I built this in my main digitising tool so the underlay beneath the orange fill is properly mapped, which means the black carve-out sections actually read clean against the orange rather than bleeding into each other. On a charcoal tote the orange pumpkins glow against the dark background exactly the way a real jack-o-lantern does against a dark night. Lay firm cutaway the large hoop especially, the density is too high for tearaway on anything but the 2.5-inch size. Skip tearaway on charcoal canvas or youll get puckering where the fill builds up thick. Its wont hold.

Customers keep asking for a version with spider webs extending outward from the stack, which I might add as a separate file down the road. For now the spider on top is the detail that gets the most comments. Stitch the mid size on a charcoal tote or a kids hoodie chest for this halloween season. Pop it on black fleece for the easiest result.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Charcoal tote bag front panelThe 6.51-inch large hoop size fills a charcoal canvas tote front with the orange pumpkins glowing bright.
  • Kids halloween hoodie or sweatshirtStitch the 3.5-inch mid size on a kids black or charcoal hoodie chest for a cute halloween look.
  • Seasonal throw pillow or cushion coverUse the 4-inch size on a charcoal linen pillow cover for a cheerful halloween shelf or couch display.
  • Trick-or-treat bag or bucket canvasThe small 2.51-inch fits a trick-or-treat canvas bucket or bag side panel well without overwhelming it.
  • Halloween costume accessory or patchRun the small or mid size as a patch on a halloween costume accessory like a cape or hat band.
  • Classroom or school halloween projectThe mid size on a white or cream cotton pouch makes a fun classroom halloween treat bag project.
  • Autumn front door or porch decor bannerStitch the large size on burlap or linen for a front porch banner or door hanging for halloween.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
