This one has a patriotic americana feel and its the kind of design thats been on my list for a while. The words 'Stars & Stripes' are in a flowing cursive, the kind that leans forward and has those nice long descenders on the S and the last letter. Three solid five-pointed blue stars sit to the upper left, graduating in size, and beneath the text theres a cluster of angled red stripe swooshes that look like flag stripes pulled at speed. Simple. Clean. Works.

2 colours, 3 colours + nine sizes on my previous version but this one is just 2: Blue for the cursive lettering at 4,574 stitches, then the swooshes in red at 1,689 stitches. Total runs from 6,265 at the smallest 4-inch up to 11,875 at the 7-inch, 4 sizes. Its a low stitch count which means it stitches fast and doesnt pucker on lightweight fabrics. Lay light tearaway across the back on woven cotton, the letterforms are open and the underlay is light so a cutaway can ghost through thin fabric.

Best results come on white or off-white fabric where both the red and blue read at full intensity. Youre not limited to that though, stitch it in navy and silver on a grey tee for a different take. Earlier this month I had a customer use this for 4th of July family reunion shirts. Mid-sized run works against indigo cotton if you want a darker patriotic colourway too. Pop the blue thread through first, then swap to red for the swooshes.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
