Three raccoons shoved into a wooden crate and not one of em looks sorry about it. The lil guy at the bottom is basically buried, just a pair of eyes and a snout poking out from under the others. Middle one is pressed flat against the crate slats, looking out sideways. But the star is the one on top, propped up on the edge of the box with a pair of huge round sunglasses on, looking completely unbothered. STAY TRASHY in big bold block capitals runs top-left like a banner, tilted at a slight angle so it reads like a slogan someone spray-painted on a wall.

Its pure black and white, 2 colour total, 1 colour change. The whole thing runs on white then black thread and that simplicity is actually what makes it hit. The detail density is wild for just 2 colours. The crosshatch fur texture on all 3 raccoons reads like a proper ink illustration, not flat fill. Seven sizes ranging from 4.5 inches 7.5-in span wide. At the biggest size ya get 66k stitches, which is a bunch of thread but the my usual software digitising keeps the density at a sane 1,184 so it wont strangle the fabric.

My sister ordered this last summer for her partner who keeps finding raccoons in their bins. She put it on a black craft fair tote and a charcoal hoodie. Both came out realy well. I get messages from camping-crowd people, outdoorsy types, and a ya whole bunch of people who just like a design that doesnt take itself seriously.

Best results on medium-weight cotton or canvas in charcoal, black or dark forest green because the white thread pops and the black detail stays crisp. Use a cutaway stabiliser underneath, the density on the sunglasses and the wooden-box panel is thick and tearaway wont hold it flat. Hoop tight, the satin-filled text block needs a solid base or the letters wobble.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Black hoodie graphic for camping trip merchPop the largest 7.5-inch on the back of a black hoodie for a camping group gift that'll get laughs around the fire.
  • Jean jacket back panel for a bold statementRun the 7-inch on a denim jacket back panel and the crosshatch fur detail reads beautifully against the weave.
  • Bar or pub staff apron embroideryAdd the mid-size to a dark canvas apron for bar or pub staff who appreciate a raccoon mascot on their kit.
  • Birthday gift for someone with raccoon energyEmbroider the 5-inch on a grey tee as a birthday shirt for your most chaotic friend. They'll wear it constantly.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
