Affirmation typography piece. Three stacked serif words in heavy black thread reading Strong on top, Brave in the centre, Kind on the bottom. Then a sweeping red brush script overlay reading Be Pretty cuts across the middle on a slight diagonal. The interplay between the rigid serif block letters and the loose handwritten red script is the whole point. Two colour palette, deep black for the stacked words and a punchy true red for the script overlay.
Six sizes total ranging from a tiny 2 inch (around 2,024 sts) up to a chunky 5 inch piece that lands around 19,500 sts, with the popular 3 inch coming in at 9,424 stitches and the 4 inch at 13,259 stitches. Density runs higher on the bold serif fills so plan for a solid medium cutaway under any tee fabric. Im running a firmer cutaway behind sweatshirt fleece myself. The red script sews on top after the black, so trim your colour change clean and youre good.
I had nine sweatshirts going out the door last christmas for a customer whod ordered matching merch for her daughters volleyball team, and she stitched the 5 inch on charcoal pullovers with bright red script. She wrote me to say the coach asked where shed got em done.
Hoop it with a medium tearaway if youre on woven cotton, or use a no-show mesh cutaway behind softer knits. Pop water soluble topping on if your fabric has any texture, the serif terminals are crisp and they need a flat ground to register properly. Use a 4x4 frame for the smaller three sizes and a 5x7 for the larger pieces. Drop a line if the proportions need tweaking for a hat front, ive done that swap a bunch of times before. Best results come on solid colour fabrics like cream, oat, navy or charcoal. Skip prints, the layered black and red read muddy on anything busy and thats just a fact.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
