Both wings are fully open and viewed flat-on, the upper pair rounded and the lower pair tapering to soft points. The fill pattern is what makes this one different from the usual butterfly designs. Instead of a realistic wing marking layout, the surface is covered in a bold repeating system of curves and teardrop shapes that give it more of a fashion-illustration feel than a nature illustration. Just 2 colors, the wing body is one solid thread and the outline plus all the vein and edge detailing is the second. At 679 density the fill stitches tightly but doesnt go stiff.
9 sizes go from 3.5 inch tiny version up to 7.51 inches. Stitch counts run from 15,323 to 31,839. Send a chat note message if there are any issues with the download.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Garden-themed tote bag or canvas pouchThe 5-6 inch size centres well on a canvas tote or drawstring bag for a botanical market look.
- Linen birthday or gift card pouchAt 3.5-4 inches on a small linen pouch it reads clearly even at that compact scale.
- Kids dress or blouse sleeve placementA child's dress sleeve or collar area works at 3.5 inches with a tearaway on lightweight cotton.
- wall hoop frame for a bedroom or craft roomStretched on natural linen set at 7-in hoop it makes a clean wall display with the vein detail visible.
- Denim jacket back or sleeve patchThe two-color scheme patches cleanly onto a denim jacket sleeve without colour clashing.
- Sweatshirt chest placement in a two-color schemeBlack thread on a white sweatshirt chest gives a graphic print look with no colour matching needed.
- Cushion cover for a spring or floral roomThe symmetrical wing shape centres on a square cushion front at 6-7 inches without needing offset placement.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
