This butterfly isnt your typical symmetrical wing shape. Its shown from a side angle, wings swept back and the tips breaking apart into long feathery strands that trail off at the edges like loose brush marks. The antennae curl upward with a tiny spiral at each tip. The whole silhouette is long and horizontal rather than the usual wide symmetrical spread, which is what makes it look more like a fashion illustration than a kids craft.
Three colours: pale blue as the main wing fill, a deeper steel blue for the wing vein shading, and black for the body and the fine outline work. The palette is deliberately restrained. Im glad I resisted adding more colour because the simplicity is exactly what makes it work on so many fabrics.
Drop me a chat if the satin column on those trailing feather ends threads unevenly. Use a medium tearaway stabiliser on stable woven cotton and canvas.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
