Big chunky 7.21 inch smiley face with aviator sunglasses on, and inside each lens you can see lil palm tree silhouettes against an orange sunset sky. Above his head the words SUMMER VIBES arch across in seven mismatched colour letters, kinda like every drop cap is a different mood. The smile underneath is a thick satin black curve with no teeth, just a happy lil crescent.
The lenses are where the work is. Each one has a soft gradient from periwinkle blue at the top into peach and orange near the bottom, and then two black palms cross over the colour. The frame around the glasses is a heavy black satin column so the aviator shape stays crisp, and a tiny bridge piece sits centre between the two lenses. The face itself has no eyes since the glasses do that job. Just a smooth round black outline, very mid 2000s mall poster.
I get messages from a bunch of folks doing summer kid apparel and beach themed merch with this one. Last june one buyer ya know was using it for a beach camp counsellor crew shirt order and another customer put the smaller size on a tote bag for her daughters birthday party favours. Camp tees, pool day towels, vacation hoodies, even a few requests for tween lunch bag patches.
Comes in nine sizes from 3.37 by 3.51 inches up to 7.21 by 7.51 inches. Stitches go from 9,753 up to 24,884, even the biggest size only takes about twenty minutes hooped. Eight colour stops in all which sounds like alot but the letters reuse the same threads so theres less swapping than youd think.
Best fabric is a midweight cotton or fleece in white, cream or pastel since the rainbow lettering needs a clean base to read. Pop a medium tearaway underneath because the lens fills sit at 460 spi, which isnt heavy but the satin frame still needs proper backing. Avoid dark base fabrics since youd lose the black face outline against navy or charcoal.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids summer camp teeA medium size on the front of a white kids tee makes a happy summer camp shirt that doesnt try too hard.
- Pool day beach towelStitched in the corner of a thick cotton beach towel it adds a personal touch without covering the whole face.
- Tween tote bag patchPop the smaller size on a canvas tote so a tween carries her pool gear without fighting with mum about the print.
- Vacation crew hoodieOn the back of a cream pullover hoodie its the kind of vacation wear a teen will actually keep wearing past summer.
- Birthday party favour bagRun the smallest size on cotton drawstring favour bags for a pool party and the kids actually want to take them home.
- Lunch bag pocket motifA small motif on the front pocket of a lunch bag works for school lunch use right through summer break.
- Pool float canvas coverStitched centred on a heavy canvas pool float cover it brings retro holiday energy without going full neon.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
