Came up with this sun and clouds piece for the boho crowd who want something more interesting than a plain sun disc. The centre is a satin-filled orange circle with pointed rays spiking out, and around it theres these swirling clouds with spiral curled ends, very much that romantic celestial look. Five-pointed stars float loosely in the open spaces between the cloud swirls, and tiny orange dot accents drift through the composition, so its not just a plain background.

Only 2 colours, orange for the sun disc and the dot accents, black for all the outlines, rays, clouds and stars. Really low colour change count makes this quick to load and quick to run. Five sizes, smallest goes around 2.25 inches wide and the largest reaches 5.22 by 7 inches tall, so its actually a taller composition in the bigger sizes because the cloud formation extends downward below the sun centre.

Dm me if you have any questions about sizing or placement, Im happy to help figure out the best option for your project. Last summer I had a batch of orders for this one on linen pouches for a small shop selling boho accessories, and the customers who bought em told me the satin orange against the natural linen colour worked perfectly together, which honestly is exactly the combo I had in mind when I made it.

Pop a tearaway behind woven linen, cotton or canvas. Avoid very heavy denim for the smaller sizes since the detail on the cloud curls can get lost in the texture. Check bobbin tension before you start because the orange satin disc needs smooth fill to look right.

Pairs beautifully with natural and earthy fabric colours: sand, oatmeal, sage, cream and terracotta. Skip white unless you want a very graphic high-contrast look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
