The left side is alot of sunflower, big long petals radiating out from a dense centre, really packed in tight. And the right side is pure dachshund world, little sausage dog silhouettes running and sitting, paw prints scattered around, bones, hearts, an I love script near the top and then that Dachshund banner curling across the bottom. Its all inside a circle so it reads as one cohesive piece even though theres so much going on.

Only 2 colours, black and white, which might suprised you given how detailed it looks. All the visual interest comes from stitch direction and density changes. The sunflower petals use directional tatami fill running parallel to each petal edge so theyve got that slightly raised, almost textured look. The dog figures are done with finer satin outlines so they pop against the fill sections. Its honestly more complex to digitise than it looks on the surface.

Comes in 4 sizes, 5 inch up to 8 inch square, stitch counts going from around 27,000 up to nearly 49,000 on the biggest. Dont skimp on the stabiliser here, use a proper cutaway because the density is high enough that tearaway can distort on stretch fabrics especially at the larger sizes.

I get messages from dachshund owners all the time asking for designs that really nail the breed personality. This one does it. A customer last summer put the 6 inch onto a cream canvas tote and it basically became her signature bag around the dog park. Shes ordered 2 more since for gifts.

Best results on white, cream or light grey fabrics where that black thread really pops. Stitch it centred on a tee chest, on a tote, or use the 5 inch on a pillow cover. Avoid anything too textured since the fine satin details on the dogs wont hold sharpness on thick terry or waffle weave. Holler if you hit any issues with the file and Ill get it sorted.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Dachshund owner gift tote bagsThe 6 inch run centred on a beige canvas tote is a go-to dog park bag that other dachshund owners will stop and ask about.
  • Dog lover birthday tshirtsRun the 5-in on a plain white or navy tee for a dog birthday party outfit that doesnt need anything else going on.
  • Custom pet themed pillow coversA medium size on a cotton pillow cover makes a great gift for the dachshund obsessed friend who has everything.
  • Canvas zipper pouch for grooming suppliesPop the smaller size on a canvas zipper pouch as a gift for a dog groomer or pet owner who needs a cute case for brushes.
  • Matching owner and dog bandana setsThe 5 inch works on a wide cotton bandana for the dog, paired with a matching owner tee for adoption day or pet events.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
