The sunflower fairy house is one of those designs you kind of have to look at twice to take in all the detail. Theres a big golden sunflower up top, petals spreading wide with that warm amber-to-yellow gradient, and the whole stem below it has been turned into a little house. Round door with a curved top, oval window just above it, and a curling green tendril drooping down with a small hanging lantern on the end. A butterfly floats off to the right. Pink wildflowers and leafy stems crowd in at the base to finish it off.

The sunflower head alone is a fair chunk of the stitch count. Petal fills are satin columns radiating out from the brown centre disc which has its own texture stitching. The cottage body is a warm sandy tan with directional fill that gives it a wood-grain or wicker look. At 44k stitches on the 7.5 ceiling size its a dense piece, but the different sections are colour-separated cleanly so thread changes are managable.

I sell alot of these to fairy garden gift shop owners. One customer ordered them on a batch of linen tote bags for a botanical garden shop in may, she said customers kept picking them up off the shelf to look closer at the lantern detail.

Best on white, oatmeal or cream linen or cotton where the warm amber and gold palette pop. Stitch the large version on a tea towel or tote bag. Pop the medium 5-inch on a cushion cover for a girls bedroom or reading nook. Cutaway stabiliser is the right call here, the dense satin petal sections need proper backing or the outer petals can pull inward at the tips. Hoop firmly on woven linen and use a light topping on any textured fabric.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
