Sunflower drawn as a heart, this one took some thinking through. The black petal outlines arch up and around to form the heart silhouette, no fill in the petals, just clean directional satin outline so you see thread strokes. The centre of the sunflower sits as a solid orange disc right at the dip of the heart, like a small sun on the page. Single line botanical drawing style, no shading just confident bezier curves.

Two colours total, black for the petal outlines and orange for the seed disc. Colour change happens once in the sequence, black first then orange. Stitch count runs 7,544 at the smallest 2.48 inch up to 15,820 at largest 5.76 inch wide. Density at 392 means this stitches fast and doesnt drag on lighter weight cotton, the orange disc takes most of the stitch budget actually.

One customer wrote last valentines day asking if she could do the orange in red instead, the answer is yes if your machine handles colour swap mid run. The black line is the rigid part of design, mess with that and the heart shape falls apart. Swap orange to red or burgundy or even mustard and it reads exactly the same.

Best on natural linen, cream cotton, oatmeal canvas, white tee. Skip dark fabric, black outlines vanish on navy or charcoal. Hoop with tearaway under woven fabric, switch to cutaway and mesh topping if youre running this on jersey or fleece. Use a 70/10 needle for the line work so the outline stays clean and doesnt punch holes either side. Pop the 4 inch on a cotton tote chest panel, run the largest 5.76 inch across a cushion centre. Email me through the shop if your machine spits an error on the file, ill rework it overnight.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
