The word love sits across the design in that big looping script style, black outline letters with a yellow satin fill running through em, and right smack in the middle the O is completely replaced by a proper sunflower. Not a simplified cartoon version either. The petals fan out in golden yellow with those darker amber shadows along the edges, and the centre is a dense brown disc that looks like actual seed texture when its stitched tight on cotton.
Six colours in the thread sequence: the two shades of yellow do most of the petal work, then a warm amber and a mid-brown handle the disc shading, black does the letter outlines and the petal veining, and a tiny bit of brown tucks in at the seed head border. 5 colour changes and about 25 trims on the smallest size, which runs smooth on most home machines without snagging. Directional stitching on the petals so each petal sits at a slightly different angle.
I started getting orders for this one last spring, mostly from people who wanted something floral that wasnt just a regular flower. My friend stitched it on a cream linen tote and the design sat alot better than I expected at that size. She sent a photo and the sunflower centre is super detailed even at 3.5 inches across.
Pop the bigger sizes on tote bags, apron bibs, and pillow centres where the sunflower reads clearly. Stitch on oatmeal, cream or sage fabric and skip dark backgrounds. Pair heavyweight cutaway with woven linen or canvas. Switch to cutaway if youre putting it on a fleece or jersey garment. Hoop firm and set tension a notch looser for the heavy petal fill area.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
