Worked this one up after alot of requests for a personalised sunflower option. The floral bloom sits right on top of the botanical frame like its spilling over the edge, which gives it a way more relaxed look than just a flower floating above a box. The petals are layered in three values, a pale buttery yellow on the outer ring, then an amber-orange underneath, with a darker warm brown running through the tips of some petals for that shaded depth. The seed centre is near-black with a cluster texture on top, and 5 stops worth of dark green go into the garden-style leaves tucked in around the stem.

And thats 7 colours total, which sounds like alot but theyre all working together. The digitising mapped the petal direction so each one runs from the centre outward, so you get that real directional satin look rather than flat fill. Density is at 1012, which is on the heavier side, so cutaway stabiliser is what I use under this one, not tearaway.

5 sizes starting at 2.36 inches wide up to 5.06 inches, and stitch count goes from 17,137 at the smallest up to 38,419 at the full size. The frame area at the bottom is left intentionally open so you can hoop a piece of water-soluble stabiliser, run the frame portion, remove the topping, and add your text separately or stitch a name in after. Use whatever font you like in your software, it doesnt restrict you to one style.

One customer asked for the frame version for a teacher gift in september and then ordered it again last spring for a set of tea towels with her daughters names, she hooped linen-cotton blend and said the density held up perfectly even on the open-weave fabric. She added matching amber thread for the name text and it looked like a proper shop-made gift. Stitch it on towels, cotton aprons, tote bags, or a child room sign on natural canvas. Add a cutaway backing and a light topping on anything with texture, it keeps the satin petals from sinking into the weave. Pick your size based on where youre placing the name below, the 5-inch version gives the most room under the frame. Hit me up if you need the frame section resized for a longer name.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Personalised tea towels with a name stitched inside the frameThe amber and golden yellow petals suit warm linen tones without thread swaps, and the open frame area fits a short name cleanly.
  • Cotton tote bag front with a custom name below the bloomAt 5.06 inches wide the bloom fills a tote bag front well with room to add a name below in a coordinating thread.
  • Childs bedroom sign on natural canvas or linenHooped on natural canvas with a cream background the amber tones read as warm and cosy rather than loud for a kids room.
  • Baby gift set on receiving blankets or bibsThe smaller 2.36-inch version fits on a bib or receiving blanket without overwhelming the item, and the 7 colours still read clearly.
  • Kitchen apron bib with a name in the frame areaA cotton duck apron handles the 1012 density and the open frame gives enough room for a first name in most standard fonts.
  • Framed hoop art using the design as a monogram baseStretched over a 7-inch hoop frame with the name left blank it reads as a clean floral monogram base for wall display.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
