So this is the surfboard beach sunset design and its got proper postcard energy. A coconut palm leans in from the left, fronds spread wide, with the trunk wrapping diagonally up and across. Right side a tall surfboard stands planted in the sand, board nose pointing skyward, red and pink stripes run down the deck. Between them a wave crashes blue-white onto a tan beach, and behind everything sits this big red and tangerine sun that fills most of the sky.

The colours are loud in the best way. Coral red sky bleeds into tangerine round the sun, the wave crest is cobalt blue with white foam, the palm fronds run tropical green with darker shadow lines. Sand is a warm oatmeal tan. Theres tiny rocks scattered near the surfboards base that ground the whole scene and make it feel lived in.

I drew this last summer for the surf-shop crowd and beach rental gift shops, customers in southern california and florida have been buying it for summer merch runs. One customer ordered it for a hawaii vacation rental welcome kit, her sister wanted matching towels for a family beach trip. Honestly its the kind of design that just sells itself when the weather turns.

Heads up this one runs heavy. 55k to 136k stitches across 9 sizes (3.49 to 7.49 inches), 13 thread colours including a couple of close oranges and reds, density round 2430 sti/cm2 which is dense as anything. my main software digitised, plenty of colour changes so dont forget to keep your thread cones organised before starting.

Stitch on white cotton, sand-coloured linen, or light blue chambray for the cleanest read. Use the heaviest cutaway stabiliser you have, mesh wash topping helps keep the satin sections crisp on jersey. Avoid dark fabrics under 6 inches, the layered colours need room to breathe. Message me if your machine cant handle the dense wave area and Ill send a lighter-density version.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Surf shop merchandise teesStitch a 6 inch size on white cotton tees for surf shop summer drops, sand and tan threads pop on light fabric.
  • Beach rental welcome towelsRun the largest 7.49 inch on terry beach towels, use a strong mesh wash and slow the machine through dense areas.
  • Summer tote bag designsA 5 inch fits chambray totes well, customers buy these as souvenir pieces from coastal towns.
  • Hawaii vacation cushion coversDrop a 6.5 inch on a cushion cover for a vacation rental, holiday rentals love themed throw pillows.
  • Resort gift shop hoodiesRun 7 inch hoodie back panels for resort merch, leave the chest open for a small logo or location text.
  • Tropical themed nursery wall artStitch a 4 inch on muslin for a tropical nursery hoop, frame in light wood for a soft wall display.
  • Family beach trip matching shirtsMatch family beach trip tees with a 4 inch chest hit on each, looks unified without being too matchy.
  • Coastal decor framed hoopsHoop the 5.5 inch on linen for a coastal kitchen wall display, the palm and surfboard read like classic beach art.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
