Small fluffy kitten sitting up straight, front paws together, enormous round eyes looking directly at you with that slightly pleading expression cats do so well. The fur is drawn with overlapping crosshatch lines that give it real volume, not flat fill. Three tiny outline hearts float above the head. Warm brown and cream tones across the body, black for the eyes, outlines and the sketch detail. Three colours only but theres a surprising amount of depth in the layering, and it stitches out richer than it looks on screen. Dont underestimate that.
The fur texture comes from the digitising approach, professional embroidery software used fine satin and running stitches across the coat at different angles so the raised sections catch the light differently from the flatter belly area. Nine sizes run from 3.51 to 7.51 inch wide and 2.59 to 5.55 inch tall, the proportions are wider than tall which is perfect for chest placement. Stitch counts go from 25,730 up to 54,432 on the largest. That density at 1306 is why the fur looks three dimensional on cloth.
This one sells alot more than I expected it to. I originally made it for a baby boutique owner who wanted something gender-neutral for nursery items, she ordered it last february for a spring launch. Since then Im suprised by how many different customer types buy it, baby shower gift makers, kawaii fashion people, cat rescue donation merchandise coordinators, even makeup studios who want a sweet kitten motif for their branding.
Stitch on white, cream or pale pink cotton for the classic sweet feel. Soft grey fleece for a cosier nursery option. Skip busy patterned bases, the scribbly fur detail needs a clear plain ground to read. Dm me if there are any issues and ill get it sorted for you.
