The swimming otter is floating on its back at 5.5 inches on the smallest end and 8.5 inches on the biggest, looking entirely unbothered about the whole situation. Chocolate brown on the back, cream belly panel facing up, tiny paws resting near the chest, just vibing. Its the classic otter-on-its-back pose and it honestly captures the energy perfectly in 2 thread colours.
my digitising suite split the otter body and water ripples cleanly, the belly-to-back colour boundary is a crisp satin edge so you dont get blend blur at the seam. Stitch count goes from 15,023 on the 5.5 inch size to 24,037 on the 8.5 inch, 7 sizes available, density at 566 per square inch so its on the lighter side. Cutaway stabiliser still recommended under aqua canvas or any woven fabric, the water ripple stitching around the base needs something firm under it or the waves pucker.
A customer last summer messaged me and said she was putting this on a beach towel for her kids, which I hadnt thought of but its a brilliant idea. The 8.5-in centred on pale aqua towel, the little guy practically disappears into the colour scheme in the best possible way. I tried this at 5-inch chest on a cream tote pocket and that works really well too, lower key version of the same design.
Use aqua, pale teal, light ocean blue, or natural cream fabric for best results. Avoid navy because the chocolate brown back gets heavy on dark backgrounds. Pop the 6-inch or 7-inch on a kids swimsuit beach bag, the proportions sit right for mid-size totes. Add topping film over any terry or textured fabric to stop the satin fill sinking into the loops. Message me on the shop chat if your 2-colour setup needs any help loading correctly.
Hoop tight and run the water colour first so it stitches down clean before the figure goes on top.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
