This lil sea turtle is mid-swim, both flippers stretched out wide, heading straight at you with a slightly goofy grin. The shell is the really nice part: each segment is individually filled with a slightly different shade, teal and green mixes, so it has that mosaic look, not a flat blob of colour.

7 colours total: teal and sage green for the different shell segments, an olive tone for the head and flippers, a sand-yellow for the belly, white for the eye highlights and a dark outline running the whole thing. The density sits at 1,145 stitches per square centimetre which means those shell panels come out proper solid and crisp.

A customer ordered this last summer for a beach holiday tote she was making as a gift. She said the shell segments were what won her over, it doesnt look like a generic turtle, it actually looks like a real mosaic shell design. That reaction is kinda why I put so much work into the shell fill direction.

Comes in 5 sizes, smallest is 3.51 inches wide and 2 inches tall, largest is 7.51 by 4.3 inches. Stitch counts run from 15,849 to 36,962. Use a cutaway stabiliser under any stretch fabric, the shell density needs solid backing to keep flat. Tearaway works under woven cotton canvas or denim.

Try it on a beach tote, a swimwear cover-up, a kids backpack. Navy or white backgrounds let those teal shell colours really pop. Ping me if the file throws any error on load and Ill send a fresh copy straight away.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
