Played with a 70s groovy lettering style here and the whole thing just came together really well. The word TEACHER sits across the bottom in big fat bubbly block letters, each one a different colour: yellow T, red E, deep purple A, orange C, red H, and a warm dark-red R. Every letter has a slight rounded slab shape to it, fills are dense satin so each one catches the light clean.

Above the letters a whole garden of flowers grows upward on green satin stems with small paired leaves, like the letters are a row of garden beds. Daisies and gerbera-style blooms in yellow, orange, red, and purple sit at different heights so the arrangement arcs gently above the text rather than sitting in a flat line. Two tiny bees or butterflies are tucked in near the edges, you barely notice em at first, then you do and its a nice little detail. Six colours total, 3 sizes from 3.14 wide by 6 inches tall up to 4.19 by 8. Digitised so the lettering reads sharp at every size, stitch count 24,820 to 34,178.

Its about as happy as an embroidery design gets, and that's kind of the point. A customer ordered 2 of the large size for canvas tote bags to present to two retiring teachers at an end-of-year assembly and both teachers kept the bags long after the ceremony. Pick a white, cream or pale grey base fabric so all six letter colours pop properly. Run the floral section at a slightly slower speed given the density, roughly 1,020 stitches per square inch, this ones on the heavier side.

Use a medium-to-heavy cutaway stabiliser and hoop a firm even tension. The block letters need a steady base or the satin fills pull inward at the edges. Add a water-soluble topping if youre stitching on any textured fabric like waffle cotton or canvas weave, the petal outlines need a clean surface to sit sharp.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Teacher appreciation tote bags at end-of-year eventsStitch the large size on a heavy cream canvas tote for a teacher appreciation gift, the six-colour letters look like a proper celebration against a plain background
  • Canvas gift bags for school farewell or retirementUse the medium size on a drawstring gift bag and fill it with small presents from a whole class, the flowers make the bag itself feel like a gift
  • Classroom cushion covers for the reading cornerCentre the large size on a rectangular cushion for a classroom reading corner or teacher's desk area, it adds colour without being childish
  • Teacher sweatshirt or hoodie left chest or back printPlace the medium size on the back of a sweatshirt for teacher appreciation week, a group of parent volunteers can each contribute and present it as a class effort
  • School fundraiser merchandise like zip pouchesEmbroider the small size on zip pouches for a school fundraiser table, teacher-themed merchandise like this actually sells at fair days
  • Staff room apron for the art room teacherAdd the medium to a canvas or denim apron for the art room teacher, the floral garden matches the creative classroom vibe
  • Bookbag or backpack patch for student-gift projectsRun the small size as a patch project for older students learning embroidery basics, the individual letters give them clear sections to practice on

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
