So this one has three distinct elements and they all work together better than they should. The word TEACHER sits in the centre in chunky rounded letters with a heavy dark outline, each letter a different hue running from warm red on the J through orange, yellow and green on the R, like someone ran a rainbow gradient across the whole word. Its not subtle but thats kind of the whole point.

Above the word, a loose wild floral arrangement spills upward and sideways: red poppies, soft pink blooms, small tan wheat-style seed heads, and green leaf stems that go in different directions like theyre actually growing rather than arranged. Some stems are taller than others, some flowers overlap, its all very deliberately imprecise. And below the word a coloured pencil lies diagonally, barrel in pink and orange gradient, yellow-green eraser tip, graphite point at the far end. Nine colours total, and the software I use kept everything well-separated so the colour stops are predictable.

Five sizes from 3.66 by 4 inches up to 7.3 by 8, so youll go from a hat patch up to a full tote front. Stitch count is 19,991 at the smallest and 42,804 at the biggest. A customer had the large size done on the the back of a denim coat for their daughters form teacher last year and the school posted a photo of her wearing it, which I think is the best possible review. Density sits at 733 stitches per square inch, medium-heavy, so the floral fills have real body without being stiff.

Apply medium cutaway behind on woven fabrics, heavy cutaway on denim or canvas. Hoop firmly, the multi-colour letter fills will shift if the fabric moves mid-stitch. Try the design on a natural or pale blue base for the full rainbow pop, dark fabric flattens the lighter letter shades. Keep thread tension even through the pencil section, the angled satin fill on the barrel dosent like a loose upper thread.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Denim jacket back panel for a teacher giftPlace the large 7-inch on the the back of a denim coat for a teacher who appreciates a bold creative gift, the floral-pencil combo reads really well on blue denim
  • Teacher appreciation tote bag front panelStitch the medium chest on the front of a canvas tote bag and pair it with a set of nice pens or a notebook inside for a class gift from multiple families
  • End-of-year canvas pouch filled with art suppliesUse the small size on a zip canvas pouch, fill it with art supplies like coloured pencils and small erasers, and present it as an end-of-year thank-you from a single family
  • Classroom art room wall hanging on fabric panelStitch the large size on a white or cream fabric panel and frame it as a classroom wall decoration, it reads more like art than signage
  • School fair merchandise like embroidered capsRun the small size on embroidered caps for a school fair merchandise table, the compact layout works well on a hat front
  • Staff hoodie back graphic for teacher appreciation weekPut the medium size on the back of a hoodie for a group of teachers wearing matching staff appreciation gear for the week
  • Student-made gift pillow for a favourite teacherUse the medium size for a student embroidery project on a pillow case to give to a retiring teacher, the nine-colour palette gives students lots of colour change practice

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
