Its a rainbow but every arch is a pencil. The 3 layers follow that classic yellow pencil look, orange outer with black stripes running up the band, and the satin fill is directional so you can actually see the sheen of a real pencil surface in the stitching. Small red apple nestled right at the base and a pink eraser poking out from one side. Then the #teacherlife script sits below in black cursive running stitch, casual and hand-written looking. Its the kind of design that doesnt need explaining when someone sees it on a tote.
10 colours with 9 changes, which is a lil bit of a commitment but the sequencing makes sense. You work through all the pencil arches first then finish with the lettering, apple and eraser details. Its not one of those sequences where youre jumping back and forth between sections every other stop.
5 sizes from 4 inches to 8 inches wide, stitch counts from about 14,000 up to 38,000 on the largest. Drop tearaway under woven cotton for clean results on tote bags and jean jackets. On stretchy crew necks and jersey tees, cutaway holds things flatter especially on the bigger sizes.
Last back to school season I got a bunch of orders from parents making teacher appreciation gift sets. One customer wrote me saying she stitched 3 different tote bags for her daughters teachers and used this on all of them in different fabric colours. The green thread version on a navy tote was her favourite, she said.
Pick the 6 inch for a tote centrepiece or a sweatshirt front. Use the 4 inch for a small zippered pouch or pencil case. Avoid really dark fabrics unless you want the brighter thread colours to carry all the contrast. Send a quick chat if there are any file problems and Ill take care of it fast.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Teacher appreciation gift tote bagsThe 6 inch centred on a plain canvas tote makes a practical and personal teacher appreciation gift that actually gets used.
- Back to school staff gift pouchesRun the mid 4-in on a small canvas zip pouch for a pencil or makeup pouch gift that costs little but feels thoughtful.
- Teacher sweatshirts and hoodiesA large size on the chest of a crew neck sweatshirt is the kind of thing teachers actually wear on spirit days or casual Fridays.
- Classroom supply bag personalisationUse it on a heavy cotton supply bag for keeping markers and pens at the classroom desk, a gift that works all year.
- End of year thank you gifts from studentsDrop it on a tote or canvas bag as part of an end of year gift set alongside a card and a small treat from students.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
