Ive been making cat-and-heart designs for a while now and the ones that work best are the ones where the cats dont look like theyre posing. These three have a slightly awkward upright stance with their little round bodies and big heads, which honestly makes them look more like actual cats being forced to stand still for a photo. The hearts between them are the rounded kawaii style rather than the sharp romantic kind, softer shapes, feels less valentines-card and more just generally cute year-round.
Seven colour stops: cream white, orange-brown tabby stripes, slate grey, raspberry pink hearts, black outline, eye detail gold, and a soft nose pink. Stitched out through industry tools, the cat bodies sit at moderate satin fill at 624 density, solid enough to cover the lavender fabric underneath but not so heavy the cats feel rigid. Stitch count runs from 8,258 at the smallest 2.12 x 3.5 inch size to 21,263 at 4.54 x 7.5 inches. 5 sizes total and the narrowest is genuinely narrow so it works on a pocket or sleeve without dominating.
Best on lavender, pale blush, or lilac fabric, the raspberry hearts and warm cat colours look warm against a cool background. Also works on cream or white if you want a cleaner look. Light cutaway stabiliser on jersey or knit, tearaway on firm wovens. At the 4.54-inch width its still compact enough for a standard sweatshirt chest placement without feeling oversized.
Goes well on valentines day items through February, but one customer told me she uses it year-round on totes and tee shirts because she just wants cat stuff on everything. Cant argue with that logic. Pair the 2-inch size with a name or date underneath for a personalised gift item.

- Personalised cat mum sweatshirtsSweatshirt chest placement uses the 4.54-inch version perfectly, fits within the standard placement zone.
- Kids tops with a kawaii cat themeKids cotton tops need a light cutaway or tearaway depending on fabric weight, stitch count is manageable for most home machines.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
