I get messages all the time asking about wildlife designs and specifically tigers, so I built this one back in march after a bunch of requests. Its a straight-on tiger face, none of that side-profile stuff, just the eyes, the nose, those thick black stripes all staring right at you. Six colours in total and nine sizes, smallest being 3.5 inches and largest 7.5 inches wide.

The density on this one is 79, which is lower than you might expect for a face with this much stripe detail, but it stitches out flat without the stiffness you get from over-dense fills. I digitised it in professional digitising software with directional stitching on the fur sections, so the orange areas have that sense of direction like the coat actually has texture to it. Use knit-friendly cutaway on just about anything, the face has alot of colour changes, 6 threads, and you dont want pull distortion on the whisker marks.

Drop it on black or navy fabric and the orange really punches. White also works but the cream inner-ear colour blends a lil, so Id go with something with contrast. Stitch count tops out at 28,792 on the largest size, which runs fast on most machines, maybe 20-25 minutes at full speed. Best results Ive had are on twill caps and heavy cotton tees, the satin outlines on the stripes stay sharp on woven fabrics.

One customer told me they used the 5-inch run on a kids backpack patch, stitched it on black canvas with mesh wash stabiliser and it held up perfectly. Drop me a chat note if you need a size that isnt in the pack or have any stitch-out trouble.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Trucker cap front panel designTrucker cap front at 3.5 inches, firm cutaway behind the structured panel, the stripe detail holds cleanly at that compact scale.
  • Kids school backpack patchKids school backpack patch at 4 inches, black canvas with mesh wash stabiliser, a customer reported the patch surviving a full school year.
  • Gym bag left chest accentGrey cotton tee left chest at 5 inches, medium cutaway, the burnt orange and black reads bold without being overwhelming on mid-tone fabric.
  • Mens work jacket sleeve panelTwill jacket sleeve at 6 inches, firm cutaway, the directional stitching on the fur zones reads particularly well on a textured twill base.
  • Canvas tote wildlife printCanvas gym duffel front at 5 inches on charcoal or black canvas, single firm cutaway, the tiger face is a statement that needs a dark base.
  • Teen bedroom wall hoop artTeen bedroom wall display, 7.5-inch on white cotton framed under glass, looks like a wildlife print more than embroidery from a distance.
  • Sports jersey name patch baseSports jersey patch base at 4 inches on jersey backing, removable by velcro, the light density of 79 keeps it thin enough to not bulk up.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
