Gonna be honest, I made this triceratops kinda just for the dino-crazy kids market and it got popular fast. Ten colours doing real work here: warm olive-green body, lighter sage belly, brownish-orange skin texture spots, creamy white horn tips, amber eye iris, and those dusty grey frill edges that shade inward. The horns have a proper satin point at the tips and the frill shading uses a density-step technique where I dropped the fill count from outside edge to centre so it reads as a natural gradation without a full gradient digitising method. Last summer I had a customer email me about this design and she came back a week later saying she had already stitched eight birthday shirts for her nephew and all his friends.
Five sizes from 3.49 x 3.51 inches up to 7.46 x 7.51 inches, stitch count 28,824 at the smallest and 65,129 at full size. Density 1163 means a proper cutaway stabiliser is the right call on any size, the skin fill sections especially need a stable base or the satin reads patchy. Hooping firmly is truly important on this one because the frill section extends wider than the body and any give in the hoop causes the outer edge shading to shift.
Best fabric I have tested this on is a medium-weight cotton twill or a smooth denim, the texture reads cleanly on both. Skip the topping on woven fabric, it generally isnt needed and can smash the low-pile satin on the belly area. Avoid thin jersey at the larger sizes, the 65129 stitch count pulls lightweight knit no matter how well you stabilise it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
