Three colours, alot of attitude. The words trick-or-treat are stacked in two rows of chunky block letters, the kind that looks like it came off a vintage halloween poster. The top and bottom words fill in orange satin, and the middle word punches through in magenta-purple. The contrast pops more than youd expect for such a simple 3-colour setup, its a proper eye-catcher on dark fabric.

Below the text sits a round jack-o-lantern pumpkin done in outline only, black linework with triangular eyes and a jagged grin, no orange fill, which keeps it graphic rather than cute. A spider web fans out from the left corner with a small spider at the centre, a bat hovers to the upper right, a raven perches on a bare branch, and a small witch hat finishes the right edge. The whole composition reads halloween at a glance without any one element competing with the lettering.

I get orders from dental hygienists every year, which I honestly didnt expect when I made this. Apparently trick or treat on a work apron or scrub top is a hit in a kids dental practice the last week of october. People aswell order for front door fabric banners and candy bowl station decor.

Five sizes from 2.52 inches up to 5.86, so ya get a range from a small tote pocket all the way up to a full apron panel. The smaller 2.52-inch works on zip pouches and coffee cup cosies, the 4-inch fits perfectly on a tote front panel, and the big 5.86-inch is what ya want for the apron.

Stitch on black cotton for the boldest read, the orange and magenta jump off dark fabric really well. Works fine on natural canvas aswell if ya want the orange to sit warmer. Use cutaway stabiliser on the bigger sizes, 23,484 stitches needs a stable base for those thick block letter sections. Hoop firm and run a light underlay pass first because the pumpkin outline and web use satin column stitch. Theres only 3 colour changes total, swap after the orange fills and before the magenta block.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
