"Trick" sits at the top in thick decorative letters with little curled serifs and loop flourishes off the T. Then "or" drops in the middle in a much smaller flowing script. Then "Treat" lands at the bottom matching the weight of "Trick". Behind the middle section, a full spider web fills the negative space with a properly constructed radial and arc structure, and two tiny spiders dangle off the lower corners. Its kinda theatrical, like a vintage halloween poster crammed into 6 inches.

Six sizes here, running 2.13" wide up to 6.38" wide, stitches go 3,706 on the tiniest version and 13,282 on the full size. Single colour the whole way. Density 277, which is intentionally light for the web sections, those open radial lines need breathing room or they fill solid. The heavier satin on the main lettering gives enough contrast even at the lower density. Stitch at the full 6.38-inch size on a tea towel and youll see it reads from across the room.

Hoop a medium tear-away under woven fabrics, cutaway on knit or jersey. The web areas very benefit from a water-soluble topping on any looped pile fabric like a fleece blanket or terry cloth, just to keep those thin arc stitches from sinking in. Skip the topping on smooth cotton canvas or quilting cotton, its not needed there. Pick a cream or natural base fabric if you can, the charcoal single thread reads way better on warm off-white than on bright white.

A customer this halloween ran the mid 5 inch on a set of black canvas tote bags for her daughters school fundraiser and said recieved a ton of compliments at the bake sale. Simple design, single colour, on cotton canvas is just kinda the perfect use case for this one.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween canvas tote bags for fundraisers and eventsThe mid 5 inch on a natural cotton tote front is just enough presence without crowding the sides.
  • Front door welcome signs on burlap or linenStitch the 6-in design on a 12x18 inch rectangle of natural burlap, frame it in a thin black float frame.
  • Halloween aprons and kitchen towelsOn a cream cotton apron the 4-inch placement sits right at the chest bib area cleanly.
  • Trick-or-treat bags for primary school kidsRun the chest 3.5 on pre-made canvas pouches with a sticky stabiliser for smaller fingers to grab.
  • Halloween sweatshirt chest placementThe mid 5 inch on a heather grey crew neck in dark charcoal thread is subtle and looks deliberate.
  • October tablecloth runners in cream linenA 6-inch strip repeated across a long linen runner makes a proper halloween table setting.
  • Canvas zip pouches for seasonal craft market stockBatch-stitch the 3-in centre on zip pouches as fast-moving market stock for October fairs.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
