I digitised this hibiscus back in february after a customer asked me for something tropical that wasnt just a palm tree or a pineapple. She wanted a proper flower, the kind you'd see in a hawaii gift shop but done with real satin, not a screen print. Took me a few passes to get the petal layering right because the density sits at 100 and the colour transitions between coral and magenta need directional stitching or the whole thing goes muddy. Nine sizes from 3.5 through to the 7.5 top and eight colour stops in the file.
Its digitised in my workhorse software with a proper underlay on each petal so the fabric doesnt pucker when youre hooped up tight. Ive run this on cotton quilting fabric, canvas tote material, and linen, and the satin on the petals holds really well across all three. Stitch count goes from 1,049 at starting small up to 36,471 at full 7.5 inches, thats a fair amount of thread but the density is balanced so your bobbin tension stays manageable. And the leaf sections use a fill stitch rather than satin so they sit flat without lifting at the edges.
Alot of people use this one for summer tote bags, linen napkins, and tropical-theme table runners. I had a customer last june who ordered it for a batch of bridesmaid robes, she did a left-chest placement at the 4-inch size and said the coral popped beautifully against white terry cloth. Pick cutaway stabiliser for stretch fabrics and a lightweight tearaway for wovens, the petal edges will thank you. Run a test on a scrap piece first if youre unsure about the colour sequence because eight changes does take alittle coordination. Holler if anything in the file isnt working for you and Ill fix it fast fast.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Left-chest placement on linen summer shirtSummer linen shirt left chest at the 4-inch size, medium coral reads against the natural linen tone like a seaside print.
- Corner accent on cotton table runnerBridesmaid robe front panel placement, the 4-in detail on terry cloth needs cutaway to prevent distortion on the looped surface.
- Centre motif on canvas tote bagCorner accent on a cotton table runner at a garden party, this held up through outdoor washing for a customer who ran the batch.
- Patch panel on tropical-theme quilt blockCanvas tote front panel at 6 inches, the five-petal composition fills the bag front without needing any border element.
- Front panel on bridesmaid robeTropical quilt block patch, the coral and deep-green palette coordinates with most warm-toned tropical colour schemes.
- Pocket corner on beach coverup dressBeach coverup dress pocket corner at the small size, keeping tension even stops the tiny petal satin from pulling.
- Hoop art piece in embroidery frameFramed botanical wall piece at the full size on linen, the density gives the bloom a richness that reads well mounted.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
