The sun is the main event here. Its built as a circular fill using 9 colour stops, going from a deep brick red at the top right down to a warm pale yellow at the bottom, the machine lays those horizontal satin bands one after another so when youre watching it stitch ya actually see the gradient appear band by band. The palm tree is a solid black silhouette leaning left across the sun, and the surfer figure stands at the base, board under one arm, just a bunch of simple solid shapes that read clearly across all 5 sizes.
professional digitising tools set the precision for the colour sequencing, 9 colour changes to build that sun gradient, which is the fiddly part of this design, but the file routes each band cleanly so the bobbin thread doesnt pull through on the front face. Density at 784 means this is a dense stitch. Youll want good stabiliser under it.
But the payoff is worth it. Customers keep asking about this one for beach-themed gift items and summer apparel. One customer last summer grabbed the 7-inch hoop size for a tote and said the gradient looked like a lil screen print. Stitch it on a black cotton tee and it reads almost exactly like one from a distance.
Use medium-weight cutaway stabiliser on any knit or stretch fabric. On woven cotton or canvas, tearaway works at the larger sizes. Pair a white bobbin thread with dark fabrics so the underside stays clean. Best results on tightly woven fabrics like poplin or canvas where the satin bands sit flat. Run a test hoop before cutting into good fabric with a 10-colour file like this.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
