Sketched this one out with a torn-flag concept. The flag portion uses jagged horizontal brushstroke tears for the red stripes, tapering off to the right so they look like the flag is caught mid-wave. The star canton sits top-left in solid blue with white star fills. Below the flag, 'Trump 2024' runs in thick freehand brush-script lettering, the kind that looks like someone grabbed a big paintbrush and signed off on it. Three colours: blue, red, and black, all doing very different things texturally in the same design.

Density runs at 787 stitches per square inch, which is fairly high, so back your fabric with a firm cutaway stabiliser regardless of what youre hooping. The brushstroke flag stripes carry irregular edges that I digitised in deliberately, so the ragged outlines filling in on your machine screen are intentional. Thats what gives it the hand-made feel. Stitch counts go from 10,189 on the smallest 1.93 x 3.51 inch version up to 24,374 on the full 4.13 x 7.5 inch size. Run the flag section at around 650 spm to get the star fills clean in the canton.

My friend stitched this on Fourth of July shirts, patriotic tote bags, and hat panels through the summer. The narrow width on even the largest size lets it sit comfortably on a cap front without wrapping around the side panels. Use a heavy tearaway stabiliser under structured cap panels instead of cutaway if youre using a cap hoop attachment.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Fourth of July tee shirts and tank topsThe narrow 1.93 inch wide smallest size fits on a standard baseball cap front panel with room at the sides.
  • Patriotic canvas tote bags and shoppersOn a white or light-blue cotton tee the three-colour flag sits well centred on the upper left chest.
  • Baseball caps and trucker hat frontsHeavy canvas totes handle the 787 density well and the flag graphic reads as a print-quality image from a distance.
  • Denim jacket chest panels for election seasonOn a denim jacket chest panel the brushstroke stripes complement the woven fabric texture naturally.
  • Zip-up hoodie front chest placementA zip-up hoodie front chest works well with the tall aspect ratio of this design, especially the mid-size.
  • Reusable bags and accessories as patriotic giftsStitched onto a canvas pouch or zipper bag the design makes a strong patriotic statement gift for rally season.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
