Right so its a baby sea turtle with 13 colours, five sizes, and shes ridiculously cute. Dont know how else to put it.

Shes bright teal-green, peaking up through a little splash of cornflower blue water. The shell on her back is terracotta brown with the hexagonal plate pattern picked out in lighter stitching. Her face though. Enormous round blue eyes with highlights stitched in so they actually look glossy. Gold-rimmed circular glasses sit across the nose. On top theres a full messy bun in warm chocolate brown, bundled up with a small blue scrunchie. Shes got a cheeky half-smile going on. Water spray fans out in three or four loose arcs around the base, gives it a real sense of movement.

Thirteen colours total, density at 1208 stitches per square inch, stitch count from 28k at the 3.5-inch up to 67k at the 7.5-inch. The eye detail uses multiple thread layers to build up depth, which is what makes it look so good stitched out. My friend stitched the five-inch on her daughter's swim bag last summer and she told me half the kids at the pool wanted one.

Use flat medium-weight cotton or a tightly woven canvas for best results. Stretch jersey is tricky with this many layers because the registration between eye highlight passes can drift. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser, hoop snug, and go slow on the head section if your machine has a speed setting. Message me if the glasses frame colour looks off after stitching, gold thread reads warmer or cooler depending on brand.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
