One solid cat, one outline cat sitting next to each other. Simple as that, but there's something about the contrast that makes people really like it.
The filled cat on the left is dense satin-filled black, the one on the right is just a running stitch outline with the same fine whisker lines and ear shape. Their shared tail curls and loops below them. Its a clean negative-space approach to a 2-cat design, and it reads elegantly on both light and dark fabric because of that contrast between solid and outline. I get alot of customers who own 2 cats and buy this for totes or tee shirts as a kind of lil portrait of their pair. Earlier this year someone sent me a photo of it on matching pillow covers for both their cats favourite spots on the sofa.
Single color means no stops, no thread changes. Smallest version is 2,471 stitches and the largest is 7,731, so even the big 7.5 inch version is quick to run. Use a light tear-away stabiliser on woven fabrics and you're done fast. Hooped at 4x4 for the smaller sizes, 5x7 or up for the larger ones. Digitised in my standard software so the satin density at 248 stitches per square inch is nice and even without being overly stiff.
Works on basically any fabric colour because its single black, it just reads differently on light versus dark backgrounds. On white fabric the outline cat almost disappears which is actually a cool effect. Email me if theres a problem with the download and Ill fix it straight away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
