The unicorn face here faces forward like a little portrait, full-frontal view. Big round eyes take up most of the face proportion, which is that chibi cartoon style with an oversized head. Theres a small spiral horn right at the top centre, rosy blush circles on both cheeks, and a few small heart shapes placed around the head, not inside the face, more like floating decorations. And the overall effect is this kind of sweet magical valentine look that doesnt read as generic.
Four thread colours: soft white for the face fill, pastel pink for the blush cheeks, a pale lavender for the horn, and light rose for the hearts. Density is 445 which is low, so this stitches out light and airy rather than heavy, good for soft fabrics and items like baby onesies where you dont want alot of stiff fill weight. Stitch count goes from 9,067 at 3.24 inches wide up to 23,059 at the 6.92 inch version.
Use a medium tearaway stabiliser on most woven fabrics or a light cutaway on knit. The satin areas on the horn need clean underlay stitching, so dont skip that first pass. I had a customer last february use the 4-in placement on a kids backpack patch and she said the lavender horn made it look like a real fantasy character rather than a clipart print, which is the kind of feedback that makes the digitising work worth it.
Pick the size that fits your project from 3.24 to 6.92 inches wide. Best on pale or white fabrics where the soft pastel colours actually show up properly. The low density makes it suitable for fleece and other lofted fabrics with a topping over the top.
