This unicorn is doing a peek over a black bar, the kind of sneaky over-the-edge crop that makes it look like the lil thing is spying on ya. You get the big round white head, rainbow mane tumbling to one side in pink, teal, green and purple, and the golden horn with its banded stripe segments sitting at the top. Both front hooves are gripping the bar from underneath. Big round cartoon eyes with proper individual lashes, and those 3 floating hearts scattered around add the finishing touch. Pink heart upper left, sky blue heart lower left, lavender heart on the right side.
17 colours total with 17 thread changes. Its one of the more involved setups but professional tools laid out the stop sequence cleanly so you work through em in a logical order. Smallest size is 3.24 by 3.51 inch at 15,625 stitches. Biggest comes to 6.92 by 7.51 inch at 36,141 stitches. There are five sizes, covering small pocket patches all the way up to a full hoodie chest panel. Density is 695, gentle and light, so the body stays soft and dont stiffen up.
I sell this one to parents doing unicorn birthday setups, people running custom kids apparel, and im suprised how many gymnastics clubs order it for leo patches. One customer who does childrens party styling ordered the 5.5-inch size for a set of canvas bags last christmas, personalised each one with the kids name next to the peeker, and sent me photos of the party. The kids were all holding em up, it was kinda the best thing Ive seen come back from a file.
Stitch on white or cream cotton for cleanest results because the peach and lavender fills need a light base to read properly. Pop a small size on a toddler tee front or a zip pouch. Use the bigger sizes on a pillowcase or the front panel of a kids birthday apron. Skip very dark fabric unless youre prepared to swap out the body fill thread for something contrasting.
Use a soft tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton so the finished garment stays comfortable. For fleece or jersey go with cutaway. The heart sections are fairly small on the petite sizes so hoop extra tight and go slow on those areas to keep the satin fills clean.
