The flag lives inside the country shape here. Continental US outline, the whole interior filled with horizontal stripes, and the star canton sits over the northwest states where the map naturally has a top-left block. Thats actually what makes the placement feel right, the canton position matches the real upper corner of the country.
3 colours, navy for the canton, red and white splitting the stripes that run across the map body. The stripes get cut by the coastline and all those border edges so they end at unexpected angles along the east coast and the gulf. Five sizes from 3 to 5 inches. Stitch count is 8,943 at the small end, 18,138 at the 5 inch full size.
Customers in the veteran and military family market order this one alot, it reads as genuine pride rather than a generic flag pattern. One customer told me she stitches it on bags she sells to active duty families at base gift shops and it moves well there. I havent had a single return on this file.
Works on navy, white, natural canvas, or military tan and olive. Dont put it on very dark fabrics where the navy canton disappears into the base colour.
Use a cutaway stabiliser, the stitch density in the stripe fill is high and tearaway can shift on woven twill. Hoop the fabric not just the stabiliser. Pick your thread tension before you start.
