The heart is split cleanly down the middle, left side carrying a dense navy canton dotted with white stars, right side running the red and white horizontal stripes. Theres no outline around the edge, the shape reads entirely from where the fills end which gives it a crisper look than most flag hearts Ive seen. The stripe spacing is tight and even across all 6 sizes, my workhorse software kept the density balanced so the lines dont blur together even on the 2-inch version.
The star field covers the full left half, smaller stars than on an actual flag but enough of them that the texture reads clearly from arms length. At the 4 and 5-inch sizes the individual stars are actually distinguishable which is a nice detail. Three colour changes total, red then white then dark blue, one brief stop at white in between. The flag colours are standard thread stock so youre not hunting for anything unusual.
I ran the 3-in design on a set of white cloth napkins last year for a july 4th table setting, took about 8 minutes each at mid speed. They looked sharp, the kind of thing you iron flat and they just look intentional. She told me the design held up after four washes without any fading which is what you want from a satin fill at that stitch density. Hoop firm on a light cutaway or tearaway for woven cotton so the directional stripe fills lay flat.
Use a topping on towel or terry fabric to keep the star texture readable. Skip dark backgrounds since the navy left half disappears on charcoal or dark denim, stick to white or pale fabric. Pop the 2-inch version on a hat brim, collar edge or zippered pouch corner since it stays compact. Dm me if the file pulls up with any formatting errors and Ill check your machine format and resend the right one.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- denim jacket chest pocket accentStitch the 2-inch version on a denim jacket chest pocket for a small but visible patriotic accent that isnt loud
- independence day hat brim or cap frontThe 2-inch size fits a low-profile cap front or hat brim without distorting the shape the way larger designs do
- red white and blue quilt block insertUse the 3 or 4-inch version as a repeating motif for a patriotic quilt block or fabric panel project
- patriotic baby bib or burp clothEmbroider the smallest size on a white baby bib for a simple first fourth of july keepsake that photographs well

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
