Sat down with this one specifically for the kids market, the number of people who need valentines day shirts for boys who absolutely refuse to wear anything with just hearts on it is bigger than you might think. A T-rex holding a heart solves that problem entirely.
The dinosaur is drawn in that thick cartoon-outline style, bright green body, cream belly, proper roaring pose. 7 thread colours including the red hearts that float around it. Stitch count runs from 24,399 at the small build up to 56,636 at the largest, thats a fairly dense design so use a 80/12 needle and back with polymesh if youre putting it on a jersey or stretch panel. Tape no-show cutaway under anything thin. The satin-stitched outline runs directional so the belly and body fills sit at complementary angles.
My niece had one of these stitched on a long-sleeve white tee last year and she wore it to school all of February. Kids really respond to this kind of design, its funny and a bit aggressive and still technically valentines day appropriate.
Send me a chat if you have a specific size request that isnt in the 5 standard options and Ill see what I can do. Sizes run 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Boys valentines day shirts that skip the usual pink heartsParents order this for boys who refuse plain heart designs, the roaring T-rex reads as valentines without being too sweet.
- Kids birthday party favours for dino-themed celebrationsWorks on kids birthday items year-round too; swap to a green or tan tee and the heart element fades to background.
- Iron-on patches for kids backpacks or lunch bagsThe smaller 3.51 inch size fits neatly on a backpack panel or lunch bag flap using polymesh backing.
- Valentines day onesies for toddlers and babiesStitch on white cotton onesies at 4 inches; the 7-colour palette stands out clearly on bright white fabric.
- Classroom teacher gifts stitched on tote bagsA canvas tote with this on the front makes a good end-of-year teacher gift for a classroom with young kids.
- Matching sibling sets on sweatshirts or hoodiesOrder matching sizes for sibling sets; the design reads well across age groups from toddler to pre-teen.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
