Cooked up a 7 colour valentine ghost design, the classic round cartoon ghost shape but with heart eyes and rosy cheeks and a totally love-themed vibe rather than spooky. The body is a satin white fill, wavy hem at the bottom, and the heart details sit on the face or chest depending on the size. Seven colours and theres kinda a lot going on for such a small shape but it works because each colour area is cleanly separated.

Stitch count runs 7,216 at the smallest 3.51 inch size to 15,521 at 7.51 inches wide. Density is 376 which is on the lighter side so it stitches out really fast compared to most character designs. The ghost body sections are what you want to get right, youll need a proper underlay digitised in so the white sits opaque and doesnt let the fabric show through.

People keep ordering it for kids valentines day shirts and I love seeing the photos they send. One customer sent me a picture last valentines with her daughter wearing a ghost shirt and her son in his too and they were the same size and it was adorable honestly. I get alot of sibling orders for this one.

Stitch it on plain colour cotton or fleece for best results. Use a cutaway stabiliser since the dense white satin body needs proper backing to stay crisp. Skip busy patterned fabrics since the 7 colour detail gets lost against a noisy background.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids valentines day shirtsThe 5-in centre on a plain white or pink kids tee is a fun valentines day shirt that gets big reactions.
  • Matching sibling outfitsOrder 2 sizes and stitch matching ghost versions on sibling shirts in the same or different coloured thread.
  • Valentines gift bagsA small version on a plain cotton gift bag or muslin pouch adds a cute valentines theme to any small gift.
  • Toddler sweatshirtsPop it on the chest of a toddler sweatshirt in plain white or cream fabric so the 7 colours sing.
  • Fleece blanket accentsStitch a row of ghost designs along the edge of a fleece blanket for a valentines themed kids gift.
  • Halloween valentine crossover itemsUse it on a halloween-valentine crossover shirt for someone who loves both holidays equally.
  • Nursery pillow coversthe 4-in detail on a plain linen nursery pillow works as whimsical decor that isnt season specific.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
