Heres the valentine gnome and this one is sweet without going overboard. Tall red pointy hat with a tiny white heart on the brim, fluffy white beard covering most of his body, two red heart-shaped balloons floating up over his shoulder on long dark strings. Tiny scattered hearts drift around in the corners aswell.
The hat is smooth red satin fill, the beard uses a ripple stitch in ivory that gives it a soft layered look like real fluff. Balloons are full satin with a fine black outline so they pop, dark cord lines extending up from the gnomes hand. Small pink cheek dots peek out from below the hat brim, and a heart-shaped nose tip pokes out of the beard. Honestly its alot of detail packed in a small footprint.
I made this for last valentines season and a customer ordered it for a card-display window at her flower shop. She stitched the largest size on a burlap banner that hung above the door for the whole month. Got loads of foot traffic from it, she told me later.
Comes in 5 sizes from 2.67 inch up to 5.71 inch wide and 3.5 scaling to 7.5 inch tall, so vertical-leaning composition. Smallest fits a left chest spot or apron pocket. Largest centres on a tea towel or pillow front. Stitch counts run 12k to 31k.
Stitches lovely on smooth woven cotton, linen tea towels, denim aprons, fleece sweatshirts, quilters cotton aswell. Use tearaway under woven cotton and denim, cutaway for fleece or jersey since the beard fluff isnt forgiving. Skip waffle, the texture breaks up the beard ripple. Text me if a colour misaligns at the heart brim and ill help debug it.
