Heres the valentine gnome and honestly its one of my favourite designs Ive done. Stocky lil body, big red polka-dot hat with a tiny butterfly near the tip, that enormous flowing grey beard that takes up most of his torso. His stubby golden hands are thrown out in peace signs and theres a whole bunch of red floating hearts scattered around him, different sizes, some outlined, some filled solid. Very festive without being over the top.
The beard is where the real detail lives. my main software digitised it with directional satin stitching that fans outward so it actually reads like hair threads, not just a flat grey blob. The hat uses satin column fills with dense underlay to hold the white polka dots crisp. Six colours total including crimson red, white, warm grey, gold, tan and black outlines. Stitch count runs from 19,272 on the 3.51-inch up to 46,114 on the largest at 7.51 inches wide.
I get alot of orders for this one from gift shop owners who do custom valentines day stock in january and early february. One customer who runs a lil gnome-themed boutique ordered it last february and told me she put it on cream linen tea towels and they sold out in 3 days. Stitch it on cream, oatmeal or blush fabric and those red hearts really pop.
Use a firm cutaway stabiliser on the big size, the beard density needs proper backing. Skip stretch fabric altogether for this one because the tight satin fills on the hat wont sit right on jersey. Pop the smaller 3.51-inch on a pocket or mug rug and the bigger sizes work great for tote bags, cushion covers, or apron fronts.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
