Designed the heart-holding gnome after a aqua-pink colour request and not just a gnome with a red blob. This one has real detail in it. The hat is striped with polka dots stitched right into the satin bands, the beard fans out wide with a dense teal fill, and the heart he's holding has its own layered fill separate from the body so the colours stay clean at every size.
professional digitising software set the colour run on this one because with 6 colours across that many small elements you really need tight control. The aqua body runs first, then black outlines, white highlights, dark magenta for the main heart, a second white pass for the hat highlights, and a small yellow stop for the nose. Thats 7 stops total and 95 trims, so its not a quick stitch but the result stitches out looking properly finished rather than flat.
Runs from 3.28 inches wide at the smallest up to 7.01 inches. Stitch count goes from about 19,951 on the small hoop all the way to 49,303 on the large. Pair with light cutaway on woven fabrics; on fleece or felt add a second layer so the gnome body doesnt pull and warp. On a cotton sweatshirt, topping helps keep those polka dots punching through cleanly. A customer grabbed the mid 4.5 build for a toddler Valentine's Day sweatshirt last year and it came out really well.
Add it to a tote bag, a onesie, a pillow cover, a kitchen towel, or a zip pouch. Best on cream, white, or light grey fabric so the teal and magenta pop. And it works on darker fabric too if you run a white underlay on the hat sections first. Stitch it on heavy cutaway stabiliser and avoid stretchy fabric unless youre using a strong topping layer aswell.

What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day sweatshirts and hoodies for kids and adultsThe 3.28-inch size fits nicely on a chest pocket area; the 7-inch version fills a back panel or front chest on a kids hoodie without crowding
- Tote bags and grocery bags for February giftingCream cotton tote bags work great with this design since the aqua plus magenta read really well on light backgrounds
- Baby onesies and toddler bibsUse a light tearaway stabiliser on onesie knit and a topping layer to keep the polka dots sharp on jersey fabric
- Throw pillow covers with a seasonal feelA 5-inch hoop size on a 16x16 pillow cover centred near the top looks balanced without being too small or too large
- Kitchen towels and tea towels for FebruaryWhite or cream flour sack or waffle-weave towels; the gnome reads well at the 4-4.5 inch range on a standard hand towel
- Small zip pouches and toiletry bagsThe smaller 3.28-3.5 inch size fits a zip pouch front panel cleanly without the hat getting cut off at the top
- Patch projects on denim jacketsHooped tight on a denim jacket pocket or sleeve patch with cutaway backing gives a clean finished look

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
