The gnome is short and round, practically all hat. The tall hat is hot pink with a wavy horizontal stripe running around it, and the brim has a little fringe trim hanging off the front. Tiny orange nose pokes out just below the brim, thats about all the face you get with gnomes, which is the whole charm. In one hand its holding four balloon letters spelling LOVE, each letter a slightly different shade of pink and magenta with black outlines. The other hand holds a pink gift box with a red bow on top. Eight colours, it really earns them.
The stitch count goes from 19,934 on the smallest 3.51-inch size up to 48,050 on the 7.51-inch, its one of the denser designs in the valentines day range. industry tools handled the balloon letter fills with proper underlay so they dont go puffy and unreadable. The hat stripes use satin column stitching, tight and clean. I been digitising gnome designs for about three years and the hat is always where people send message asking about stabiliser, so: use a firm cutaway, not tearaway. The body is too dense for anything that tears away cleanly.
I sell alot of these to gnome collectors who do seasonal home decor. One customer ordered the 5.42-inch size for a set of matching gnome cushions she gifts at Christmas and valentines, she said this one is her valentines favourite because the balloon letters make it read seasonal without being too obvious. Great for tote bags, linen cushion covers, cream cotton sweatshirts, or a canvas wall hoop.
Stitch on pale pink, cream, or white fabric for the best colour pop. Avoid anything darker than oatmeal because the light blue shadow detail at the gnomes feet disappears. Pick the smallest 3.51-inch for a pocket or bib decoration, go full 7.51-inch for a cushion front or hoodie back panel.
