Pulled together this gnome after I realised the version with the heart lock was outselling the plain gnome designs by alot. So I wanted a gnome thats more festive, more layered, the red hat covered in tiny white hearts and the balloon cluster in the background gives it more going on visually.
This ones the most complex in this valentines batch. 10 thread colours, density at 1336, and tops out at 70,638 stitches at the largest size. Its a proper dense fill design, the satin stitching on the hat runs directional, and the tiny heart print on top adds a second colour layer. Use a 80/12 needle throughout, and back with polymesh on any knit base. Tape no-show cutaway under thinner wovens. Give the machine a break between colour stops if youre doing multiples.
The Love text on that red heart the gnome carries is stitched in white satin on red so it reads clearly even at the 3.51 inch size, Ive checked this one carefully because small text in satin tends to blur if the digitising isnt tight.
People order this one for larger items, throw pillows, sweatshirts, tote bags, because the level of detail justifies a bigger display. Stitch from 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide depending on your project.
