This gnome is holding a proper roses bouquet and looks very pleased about it. The hat droops way down on one side in that classic gnome shape, the nose is that big round satin bump that makes gnomes look ridiculous in the best way, and the roses are a full lush bunch with green leaf detail. It is honestly one of those designs where people see it and go oh thats so cute before they even think about whether they need it.

Eight colours total, smallest size runs 29,762 stitches and the 7.5-in build goes up to 74,556 so its a dense and detailed stitch at the larger sizes. The rose petals have layered fills to give some depth, the hat uses long satin sections for that smooth surface, and theres 3 colours worth of gnome body detail crammed into what looks like a simple lil figure. People are always suprised how much detail is in it.

I sell alot of gnome valentines and this one with the bouquet is by far the most popular of the bunch. A customer last valentines told me she did it on a tea towel for her mum and her mum cried a little, which I wasnt expecting but that was very sweet.

Stitch on cotton, fleece, canvas or a medium-weight linen. Use a cutaway stabiliser because of the density. Skip thin jersey on the bigger versions as the stitch weight can distort the fabric. Pair with a plain coloured background so the 8 thread colours all read clearly.

Five sizes, 3.51 to 7.5 wide. Ping me if you need a resize or a version without the roses and Ill see what I can do.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
