Three gnomes, all different heights, each holding a red heart out in front of them. The pointy hats are big and their beards are massive, kinda the whole gnome deal, and the hearts are bold and saturated against them. The trio arrangement is what makes it more interesting than a single gnome, theres a story in the three of em standing together.

Fifteen colours and density of 1,034, this is a seriously detailed stitch-out. The gnome beards and hat textures are done with proper directional stitching so they have real dimension. Sizes from 2.62 inches wide up to 5.61 inches, stitch counts from 19,461 up to 43,572 at the largest. Youre looking at a decent stitch time on the big size, budget 45 minutes or so depending on your machine speed.

Kinda a big project for a valentines design, but thats what makes it stand out on a shelf. This one sells well for seasonal home decor, last valentines day I had a customer who made six matching pillow covers to sell at her craft fair and sold the lot by sunday. Its genuinely one of those designs that catches eyes because theres so much going on.

Cutaway stabiliser on everything, no exceptions at this density. Use a wash-away topping on any textured fabric like fleece or minky so the stitches sit on top properly. Load your bobbins before you start, you will go through thread fast.

Best on sweatshirt fronts, pillow covers, and tote bags at medium to large sizing. Skip placing on anything too small, the detail disappears under 3 inches.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentines sweatshirt centrepieceThe large 5.6 inch chest centred on a sweatshirt front makes a bold seasonal piece with real visual presence.
  • Seasonal pillow cover decorOn a plush pillow cover for the sofa it makes warm seasonal home decor that comes out year after year.
  • Kids valentines day shirtA medium size on a kids white or red shirt makes a fun valentines outfit they'll want to wear for the school party.
  • Craft fair apparel itemCraft fair sellers love this one because the three-gnome format is wider than most designs and gets noticed from across a table.
  • Canvas tote bag accentOn a canvas tote at medium size the gnomes make a cheerful seasonal bag that holds a gift or a bunch of flowers.
  • Valentine wall hanging hoopFramed at the 7-in hoop size on cream or linen fabric it makes a whimsical seasonal wall piece for a hallway or kitchen.
  • Matching gift set for gnome loversPair it with a single-gnome design on a second item for a gnome lover gift set that works for valentines or any occasion.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
