Seven colours and seven heart balloons all bunched together on curling strings, thats the whole concept here and it works very well as embroidery because the balloon shapes hold up beautifully in satin fill. Each balloon heart is a different shade or tone of red, pink and coral, which is what gives the bouquet that full dimensional look rather than just a flat cluster of identical hearts.

The highlight technique on each balloon is what I spent most time on during the digitising process, each one has a lighter satin patch in the upper left corner that mimics how light bounces off a real balloon surface. Seven colour changes total, 29,000 stitches at the 7-in jumbo size. Decent stitch count for what it is but it moves pretty quickly since the fills are big continuous satin sections with minimal jump stitches.

People have been ordering this for valentines and also birthdays, anniversaries, any kind of celebration honestly. Kinda surprised me at first how many birthday shirt orders I get for it but it makes sense, a bunch of heart balloons just reads as festive no matter the occasion. One customer last valentines made kids shirts for a whole preschool class and posted a photo, twenty lil kids in matching heart balloon shirts.

Use a cutaway stabiliser for all fabric types here, the density is high at 717 and you really dont want any shifting under that cluster. Stitch on white, light grey or pale blue for the colours to really sing. Pick a mid-weight cotton jersey for the smaller sizes and go heavier for the 7 inch version. Cotton jersey works well at the smaller 4 inch version, medium fleece or sweatshirt for the larger sizes. Dont go too dark on the fabric colour unless you want a moody nighttime balloon effect, which actually isnt bad but its a different vibe.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
