A big outer heart shape, 4.5 inches at the smallest and to the 7.5 max on the largest size, filled entirely with smaller hearts packed edge to edge in a repeating mosaic pattern. Five colours build the depth, deep red on the outer ring moving through rose pink, dusty pink, pale blush and cream toward the centre so the whole thing has a gradient-like feel even though its technically flat fill. Stitch count runs from 16,825 on the compact 4.5 inch version up to 29,561 on the 7.5 inch, so even the large size isnt a marathon run.

Tape a soft backer on cotton and youre good to go. And if you want extra definition between the inner hearts, slow the machine slightly at the colour change boundaries so the satin edges stay sharp. Density sits at 587, comfortable for most mid-weight fabrics without buckling. Ive hooped this on a blush cotton canvas tote and the five-colour gradient looked genuinely impressive, the kind of thing people assume cost more than it did.

One customer sent me a picture in february of a set of matching pillow covers she'd made for a valentines party, all stitched at the 6 inch size in a coordinating colourway. She swapped the white centre hearts for gold and it absolutely lit up. Stitch it on a pale pink sweatshirt and the blush-on-blush tonal look is subtle enough for everyday wear even after valentines. Add it to a canvas pouch as a gift bag and the heart-within-hearts idea reads as intentional and considered without needing any explanation.

Best on lighter ground fabrics so the colour gradient reads clearly from white outward. Skip dark navies or blacks where the inner blush tones disappear. Use a stabiliser with a bit of body on stretchy knits, the density here fills in fast and any movement in the hooped fabric will shift the registration. Pop this on a flannel shirt yoke and the size works out perfectly at 4.5 inches for that placement.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
