Ya know when you picture the classic lipstick kiss mark on a valentines card? This is that, but stitched. The lips are full and bold with a proper cupid bow, pressed right onto a heart shape below em. Theres a deep red base, a lighter pink highlight stripe across the upper lip, the heart underneath in a warm red, and the whole thing is outlined in dark thread that makes it pop off the fabric.

The stitch work is all satin fill on the lips with directional stitching that follows the curve of each lip lobe. Thats what gives it that glossy-looking sheen when the light hits it right. The heart uses a flat tatami fill in a slightly different red, so youre getting nice contrast between the lush lip texture and the clean heart shape. Four colour changes total, nine sizes available, sorry, 5 sizes from 3.5 to 7-in size. Comes in at roughly 27k stitches for the largest.

I love this lil design specifically for galentines shirts. One customer last february made a bunch of matching tees for her friend group, she did em all in white cotton and said everyone lost their minds when they saw how the lip stitching caught the light. A bunch of people in her group ordered it for themselves after that.

Use a cutaway stabiliser for jersey fabrics since the dense satin fill on the lip area needs a firm base to stitch clean. On woven cotton or canvas a tearaway works fine. Stitch on white, cream, black or navy for the strongest colour contrast. Skip medium grey or tan because the red tones cant be seen clearly at distance.

Send me a quick note if you need any help with the file and ill sort you out straight away.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
